This is a hummingbird?  Yep!  Appropriately named Sword-billed.

Greetings from Ecuador, after a day of birding at the Yanacocha Reserve, a high altitude (10,000’) cloud forest outside of Quito, on the west slope of the Ecuadorean Andes.  A few other birding highlights pictured here: Masked Flowerpiercer and Great Saphirewing.  Off to high elevation  grasslands tomorrow.
