Will Go to Great Lengths for a New Bird
In the ditch, on Christmas Day no less! Yet please note, I wasn’t driving! The good news, however, was that shortly after getting towed out, we saw what turned out to be a male dark morph Rough-Legged Hawk first perched on top of a tree, which then took flight across a field. #587 ABA Area life bird for me. Yesterday I was a guest at the Arizona Diamondback’s pitcher Doug Davis’ first charity golf event at Troon North, ranked #21 nationally for public access courses. There were a lot of baseball celebrities, including a couple Cy Young Award winners (see if you can identify of few of these guys):
